Job Requirements:

 

 

Under the direction of the Lead Electrician, the incumbent completes new or modified installations, repairs and/or replacement of all electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components on the premises; performs preventive maintenance to all electrically powered devices and implements repairs or replacement of same. High School diploma technical certificate required as well as three (3) to five (5) years experience in related field, with a minimum CT E2 license required. Must maintain CT E2 license and supply of personal hand tools. Must be detail-oriented and possess teamwork skills. Must have ability/experience with 23,000 KV switch gear. Must be able to read and interpret diagrams, schematics and as-built plans. Must possess excellent eye/hand coordination, be capable of standing and walking for extended periods. Must be able to crawl and balance in high, precarious places, be able to carry/lift up to 100 lbs., climb on ladders. Senses of smell and hearing need to be keen and ability to speak clearly necessary. Must possess good close and color vision. Position requires exposure to electrical current and frequent work in high heat (non-weather) and cold weather conditions.
