Description 

 In this position, you will be part of the NAND Flash Systems Engineering team and will part of a team of engineers on firmware design, development and debug for high-performance Solid State storage products. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
- Responsible for the design, testing, and implementation in a real time embedded OS of NAND management firmware code for NAND Flash modules and SSDs, as well as their derivatives 
- Working closely with the NAND Flash Systems Engineering team and partner organizations in STG, MPG, and IMFT to launch and ship current generation products as well as help develop a long term strategy for NAND Flash Systems firmware development 
- Responsible for the creation of new product architectures, leading others to implement new architectures and working across divisions and the industry in the adoption of new products and technologies related to SSD 

 
 

 Qualifications 

 You should possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or CPE or related field and more than eight years of industry experience. Additional qualifications include: 
- More than twelve years of proven experience in delivering HDD and/or SSD products 
- Strong software design and C and/or C++ development skills 
- Knowledge of storage systems and concepts, storage interfaces, BIOS and/or OROM, and storage drivers 
- Strong results orientation, technical problem solving, written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently 
- Experience in or knowledge of high-performance low-level system software development, embedded multitasking applications, and embedded system tool chains and debug methodology 
- Experience leading engineering teams in hands-on task-oriented, complex projects 
- Experience in high-level languages and system modeling, experience with ARM* or XScale* development and architecture, and/or experience with Flash memory would be an added advantage
