SALES ANALYST
Reports to: Director Sales Administration
PURPOSE
Responsible for selecting and implementing standard field warehouse technology as well as assisting Distributors in defining their logistics networks. Work closely with operations staff to drive process improvements and efficiencies to improve financial results. Responsible for traiing distributor operations staff on inventory management systems, standard Zimmer Spine processes as well as fielding calls on issues reagrding order entry, technology and Zimmer best practices. Responsible for field decisions to management. Will take directions from the project manager of the OASYS project during the roll-out of SAP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinate requests for logistics and systems support from the Distributors and work with management to prioritize those requests.
2. Assist Distributors in planning their field distribution and logistics networks.
3. Assist Distributors to adhere to business process requirements and Zimmer Spine best practices for Order Management, Inventory Management and traceability.
4. Assist in defining standardized technology profiles, including hardware, software, warehouse and administrative tools, for Distributors operations.
5. Provide leadership to field support projects, Distributor cycle count operations and field physical inventory functions.
6. Collaborate with Zimmer functions in Warsaw and other Zimmer Spine departments to successfully complete duties.
7. Prepare documentation and reports of field logistics and inventory results for executive management and external audit.
8. Maintain department records.
9. Assist in developing department policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Comply with all Zimmer Spine safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities in the field to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
2. Provide work direction to temporary physical inventory staff as necessary.
3. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
4. Responsible for implementation of the Zimmer Spine Quality system as it applies to the specific activities being performed.Effectively manages multiple priorities with high quality expectations in a team based environment.
6. Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups.Identify resources required to complete audits and work with key stakeholders to manage audit scheduling.
8. Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor degree in business, operations, logistics or information technology required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum one (1) year experience in logistics/finance or related work in a manufacturing/distribution environment. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently under medium to low supervision. Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal and written form in English. Possess the ability to identify key objectives for the position and prioritize tasks in order to achieve those objectives on schedule. Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, word processing and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of desktop technology, data management, databases and query tools. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, particularly proficient telephone etiquette. Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form. Available to travel overnight approximately 75% of the time.
