Part Time Principal Electrical Engineer- minimum 20 hours a week
Desired Capabilities for this Advanced Technology Center's position include:
System Level Understanding of optical and microwave transmission
Optical transmitter and receiver design
Understanding of innovative approaches to dispersion tolerant and bandwidth efficient optical transmission
Proven experience in advanced modulation formats for microwave radio systems
Experience designing advanced optical WDM systems
Experience designing with GaAS HBTs for optical systems
Experience with microwave radio systems in excess of 20 Ghz
Experience with computer modeling
Familiarity with optical test equipment
Familiarity with testing optical data communications systems @10 Gbps or more
Familiarity with RCI project and cost management practices
Cost estimation and proposal writing experience
Must be innovative and self motivated.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must for proposal generation and presentation.
Demonstrated ability to lead advanced concept projects is required.
Must be able to work within a large project team and communicate across business unit boundaries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, and ten years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, sixteen years of related experience.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) is required.
