Description 

 In this position, you will be responsible for developing data architecture, including the physical data design, that satisfies business needs, promotes and enables data integrity to be enforced, and delivers stable, flexible, and scalable data structures. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
- Rresponsible for understanding customer business processes and system functionality to develop the conceptual and logical data design within an enterprise perspective independent of implementation 
- Responsible for creating: entity relationship diagrams with meta data at the project and corporate level (conceptual, logical, physical), data dictionaries that provide the semantic definition of all data, data definition language (DDL) scripts, high-level data architecture documentation, data quality assessment documentation, and quality monitor specifications 
- Working with cross-organizational project teams and interact closely with business and technical development teams and Database Administrators to provide guidance and support on requirements gathering and data design 
- Planning and scheduling daily tasks and uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices 
- Responsible for the inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense 
- Ensuring that all data quality deliverables are completed in support of the programs and projects to which they are assigned, ensuring program designs meet data quality standards. They provide subject matter expertise, consultation, and impact analysis for projects affecting or utilizing data for the subject areas they are responsible for, as well as defining and/or maintaining the goal-state data design and overall data performance requirements for her subject areas 

 
 

 Qualifications 

 You should possess a degree in Information Systems or related field with four to six years working experience in data modeling or database design, or five to seven years experience in data modeling, database design, or application design. Additional qualifications include: 
- Demonstrated clear written and verbal communications with customers and stakeholders 
- Ability to work within a team 
- Ability to document decisions, adhere to standards, and communicate actively within a group 
- Ability to provide technical coaching and mentoring 
- Strong analytical skills 
- Strong influencing skills 
- Proven ability in use of data modeling tool(s) such as SilverRun, ERWin, etc., with application to relevant software methodology 
- Knowledgeable in software development lifecycle process, latest software architecture and technology 
- Knowledgeable in statistical and quantitative analysis 
- Experience with Business Process Modeling would be an added advantage 
- Project management, negotiation and good presentation skills wuold be an added advantage 
- Working knowledge of Supplier data and indirect materials procurement processes would be an added advantage
