ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN I, Data Entry, ADMINISTRATION BUILDING - Job #JT083294004Administration Building - 900 Grant StreetHourly Rate: 12.00 hrly part timeDue Date: Until FilledStart Date: ASAP Responsibilities:Provides clerical support to the department, such as ordering, filing and payroll submission; inputs, edits and files approved journal entries and cash receipts daily; picks up checks from Disbursing daily and investigates checks which are not coded; prepares requests to move monies related to journal entries and cash receipts; maintains batch number logs for journal entries and cash receipts; researches and writes simple correcting journal entries; special projects as assigned.Requirements:Basic knowledge of Fund accounting practices and procedures; experience with personal computers, automated on-line accounting systems and other standard office equipment; proficiency with computer applications including MS Excel and MS Word; strong interpersonal skills. –Minimum of two years of applicable experience desired.
