 Role Summary 

 Full Time TCM position, with some utilization management function onsite at a claims office location dedicated to a customer. Primary function is Telephonic Case Management. Workers compensation case mgmt experience is preferable. 

 Major Duties 

 Works with employees, policyholders and health care providers to facilitate and/or coordinate a strategy to expedite the employees return to work.Coordinates and implements the approved plan to successful completion and reports on the status via a progress report produced on the personal computer.Maintains accurate record of management including billing, savings and demographic data.Adheres to and attains established quality standards.Utilizes effective communication, courtesy and professionalism in all interactions both internally and externally.Assists and supports customer/account management processes as required.Participates in customer visits as requested.Advises supervisory staff, as well as documents, any concerns or complaints expressed by providers, injured workers and customers.Attains established reports and operational objectives.Assist with training/precept as required.Utilization review of medical necessity activities. 

 Qualifications 

 RN license and 3-5 years clinical experience required.Bachelors degree and case management or other applicable certification (CCM, CRRN, and/or CDMS) preferred.Work experience in disability management, utilization management, discharge planning, return to work planning or case management. Telephonic Case Management experience highly desired.Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.Strong computer skills required.Knowledge of workers compensation regulations.Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.As healthcare becomes an increasing concern for everyone, CIGNA will make a difference.
