Hendrix College invites applications and nominations for the position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month appointment, reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics, Recreation and Wellness. Hendrix is a member of NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). 

 The head coach is responsible for all facets of the women’s soccer program. The primary emphasis for the position is recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, and the administration of a competitive NCAA Division III women’s soccer program. Additional duties related to the program include scheduling and coaching practice; preparing and monitoring annual sport and recruiting budgets; supervising assistant coach(es); and meeting NCAA, SCAC and Hendrix College rules and responsibilities. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to the academic mission and purposes of the College. Additional duties and responsibilities include game management functions for other selected intercollegiate sports events and other administrative duties as assigned by the executive athletics director.

 Requirements 

 Bachelors degree required. Preference will be given to the candidate who has playing and/or coaching experience at the intercollegiate level in soccer and who can demonstrate a proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with staff, faculty, and other members of the College community. The successful applicant will be able to successfully articulate the values of a liberal arts education and the role intercollegiate athletics plays in the development of student-athletes.
