This opportunity is to assist the Air Force in building their Application Software Assurance Center of Excellence.The successful candidate will have past experience in the area of Information Assurance (IA), and software engineering. This position is on site with an Air Force Project Management (PM) office, providing analysis, technical assessments and planning of technical assessments. The successful candidate will assist team members, Program Managers and Project Officers in the analysis and implementation of security solutions and in the assessment of the security of applications being designed. The candidate will perform vulnerability and penetration testing on government systems. Past experience in the use of security tools, such as application firewalls, penetration testing tools, database monitoring tools, and source code analysis tools is preferred. Must be able to work independently or as a part of a team.Requirements: Candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience in applications or software development and/or security. College degree is preferred BS in EE, CS or MIS is preferred. CISSP certification is a big plus. Experience in performing security C&A's, a plus. Candidates are required to have experience and knowledge regarding web applications and/or databases. Should posses hands-on experience in software engineering or computer security policies. Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills and the proven ability to work with customers. Travel of around 20% is required.
