Position Summary:
The Operations Team member works behind the scenes to ensure that all events from opening day registration to site visits and speaking events-run smoothly. They also address and meet the general needs of program, such as overseeing transportation and responding to the needs of all participants. This is a full-time, temporary position with opportunities for advancement and continued employment.Responsibilities include:- Site advancement and event set-up.- Coordinating movement and transportation of 300+ students and staff.- Responding to crisis situations.
- Greeting speakers from legal communities.
- Arranging for special needs of students (dietary, medical, etc.).

Requirements
- High school diploma (Bachelor's degree strongly preferred).- Be at least 21 years of age by February 5, 2007.- Hold a valid driver's license with good driving record.- Successfully pass a criminal background check.- Ability to work non-traditional work hours.- Ability to reside on-site while programs are in session.- Familiarity with Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.- Experience with event management or a political campaign.- Experience with mentoring/youth programs.- Ability to handle frequent setbacks and create solutions.- Commitment to creating a positive and fun environment for students and colleagues.
