 JOB PURPOSE:
 To ensure that all health information is accurately stored in the electronic imaging system by properly preparing, scanning, indexing and evaluating the quality thus preserving the integrity of the health record. The scanned images are viewed by all EpicCare users in the region, and the information is utilized in making patient care decisions.
 
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
 TYPING TEST OF 30 WPM IS REQUIRED BEFORE CANDIDATES CAN BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. PLEASE CONTACT THE KAISER EMPLOYMENT OFFICE FOR TESTING INSTRUCTIONS, 503-813-3601.
 
 One year experience Medical Record File Services. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Basic knowledge of PCs and a Windows based environment, including mouse skills. Basic knowledge of the Principles of Confidentiality. Working knowledge of forms approved for inclusion in the health record. Ability to read, decipher, understand and summarize health record information. Ability to clearly speak, read, write and understand thoroughly English. Ability to retain information detailed on the Document Imaging Work Rules Matrix which includes approximately 100 document types and indices. Good written and oral communication skills. Detail oriented. 
 
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 Two years experience in Medical Record File Services. Working knowledge of PCs and a Windows based environment. Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology II with a passing grade of C or better. Thorough knowledge of KP computer systems (KARE, MIPSs, RRS, Interchange, EPIC).
 
 HOURS/SHIFT: Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am Evening shift.
 
 PASSING A BACKGROUND CHECK AS WELL AS A DRUG SCREEN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL EXTERNAL HIRES.
