Lubrizol Advanced Materials, a subsidiary of The Lubrizol Corporation; (formerly known as Noveon, Inc.) has an immediate need for a New Business Market Development Director inthe TempRite(r) business at our Brecksville, OH location (a southern suburb of Cleveland).
This strategic position will report directly to the Vice President of TempRite(r) and will be charged with significant business and technological development through researching, identifying, follow through, and ultimately recommending and implementing new polymers, applications, and product commercialization with new and existing technology platforms.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Identify and develop target markets through value and opportunity analysis and take the necessary actions in order to lead TempRite(r) into these markets with new technology and innovative products that make us the differentiated leader.
*Develop, obtain, understand and manage market trends and opportunities for customers in a proactive manner by understanding the customers' needs and business.
*Lead and facilitate several business development growth projects.
*Discuss and explore technical and commercial possibilities within the Global Business and Technical communities of the world.
*Work across functions to facilitate and lead business initiatives that result in successful selection and implementation of new technology, applications and commercialization of new products.
* Work closely with the TempRite(r) Research and Development Director on new technologies and business opportunities.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Masters degree in a science or engineering field.
* MBA.
*Minimum15 years of experience including strategic marketing, technical and new business development.Must have a proven track record of significant new business development success.
*Recognized global industry reputation and name recognition in Polymer and Plastics Commercial and RD.
*Demonstrated commercial success in launching new technology into new or existing markets which resulted in growing and sustainable economic success.
*Strong Commercial and Technical development acumen.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Proficient with Microsoft Office, including an ability to prepare presentations.
*Ability to write up business plans.
*Demonstrated leadership and team facilitating skills.
*Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and business team environment.
*Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to drive results through cross functional environments.
SALARY RANGE: $119,000 TO $146,000
DOMESTIC RELOCATION
BONUS ELIGIBLE
