Serves as the primary advisory to Division Chief (GS-15/O-6) in one of USSTRATCOM's Mission Areas (Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction, Information Operations (including cyber), Nuclear Deterrence, Global command and Control, Integrated Missile Defense, Space Operations, Global Strike, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, and Strategic Deterrence. In a mentoring and support capacity, provides subject matter expertise and the ability to plan, coordinate, integrate, and advocate USSTRATCOM positions with DOD, Services, Agencies, IC, and other COCOMs. Writes position papers, white papers, and staff estimates. Supervises working groups, studies and analysis, document reviews, and coordinates/executes meetings as directed by Division. Supports JOPES planning, POM development, training and exercise support, and JCIDS analysis. Exquisite writing and briefing skills expected. 

Experience Requirements:
 Military: Field grade (0-4 to 0-6) with at least 15 years experience. Prefer combat experience or regional combatant commander staff'both a plus. Require joint, service, or COCOM staff experience, USSTRATCOM experience preferred. Must have affiliation with or service in a major weapons system (F-15, B-1, AEGIS, PATRIOT). Senior Service School preferred, intermediate service school required, Army Two Year Planner's Courses is a plus. Command is a plus. Acquisition accreditation appropriate for jobs and years in grade. 
 Non-military subject matter experts must be recognized by publication of peer-reviewed papers on USSTRATCOM-related mission areas. DOD or agency service is preferred. PhD Required. 
 BS required, MS degree preferred, PhD a plus. Preferred Math, Science, Engineering, Military Studies 
 Must have current TS/SCI
