The EDI Specialist is responsible for the overall day-to-day
coordination, implementation, and communication of our client's EDI
initiatives and strategies. This person will work closely with trading
partners, other team members, and business representatives to ensure
current EDI production is maintained and new requests are implemented.
The EDI Specialist will ensure that EDI production is maintained,
exceptions are communicated to the appropriate parties and change
requests are forwarded to the development groups. The EDI Specialist
is the front line to internal and external customers and they are
responsible for communication and follow-up on EDI issues.
The EDI Specialist must have in-depth understanding and working
knowledge of EDI standards, translation methodologies, data
communication, interfacing techniques, networking concepts, problem
solving techniques and project methodologies in order to support
production EDI systems and partnerships and implementation new
requests. Must be self-motivated and possess exceptional
organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Must also
have proven decision making and problem solving abilities.
