The SAVVIS Senior Project Coordinator (SPC) is accountable for customer satisfaction and for delivering key milestones during implementation. Responsibilities include working with the internal requestor to set and manage expectations for service delivery. SPCs serve as the single point of contact for the requestor’s project for the duration of each implementation. They are responsible for coordinating with the appropriate resources to ensure projects are organized and milestones are met.Position Objectives: 

Provide excellent customer service throughout the lifecycle of client projects

Meet internal delivery milestones and ensure that expectations are clearly established

Successfully transition the project over to the support organization by verifying accurate product representation in the SAVVIS databaseEssential duties: 

SPCs will form relationships with the requestor to answer all questions regarding the implementation process and manage expectations from a service delivery perspective

If a nonstandard design is approved for an opportunity, the SPC will initiate a call with Engineering to ensure that documentation has been provided for internal builds and installation, and that a support template is present for serviceability after installation (implementation of any nonstandard requirements will be factored into the delivery dates)

Schedule an internal kick-off call to review the project with a representative from each Service Delivery Department – Systems Engineering, NCS and Install (product may be included as necessary)

Compare supporting order forms to Vantive to ensure system accuracy.

Assign forecast dates and a project code to each order

Monitor order progress against forecast dates

Communicate implementation status to the client and the project team by sending a weekly task list and conducting a weekly conference call

Verify all installed products (logical connections, circuits, equipment, etc.) are accurately represented in Vantive before an order is closed

Provide management with project / order status and escalate issues

Provide a transition to the post-implementation/support organization at the completion of each project Required skills: 

Five years of customer service in a high technology organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Networking or Telecommunications industry experience

Previous project coordination experience

Superior organizational skills demonstrated by highly effective workload management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Microsoft Windows NT/2000 and Microsoft Office proficiency

Excellent problem solving skills Desired skills: 

Detailed knowledge of the SAVVIS network, services, procedures and internal contacts

Fluency in a second language (may be required on a regional basis)

Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Vantive

Hosting implementation and IP Telephony Education or Equivalent Experience:
