Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for coordinating the daily balancing of a select group of natural gas portfolios. The incumbent manages the portfolio through hurricanes and other Force Majeure events, using creative alternative means for delivering the energy. This position is capable of creating a complete, new, balanced portfolio for newly acquired assets with a minimum of effort. It is a first point of contact for resolving all auditing and accounting inquiries.
This position is relied on to be an internal expert for a select major interstate gas pipeline and other minor pipelines. It serves as the primary IT system security administrator for both the major pipeline and the minor pipelines. The incumbent optimizes pipeline transportation assets and manages storage assets. This position will report to the Senior Gas Scheduler. 
Because of the potential for conflicts of interest in this position, the incumbent must maintain proper business perspective across both gas LDC and merchant functions and must be particularly conscious of and adhere to applicable standards of conduct.

Job Requirements

Required: 

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Communications or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. 

· Experience demonstrating skill scheduling gas for generation, origination, trading and/or an LDC and/or managing scheduling requirements. 

· Experience demonstrating skill using Transco, TCO, National Fuel, Eastern Shore, Henry Hub, and/or TETCO EBBs/webpages to perform gas scheduling and/or reconcile portfolios.

· Experience demonstrating skill developing and maintaining credible and effective relationships with others. 

· Experience demonstrating skill analyzing, compiling and reporting data to others.

· Experience demonstrating skill working as part of a team.

· Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software to perform work functions.

· Ability and willingness to travel to various locations for training and meetings as required. 

· Ability and willingness to work extended and non-standard hours, be available 24/7 for questions/updates, and cover all pipeline contracts and issues during weekend coverage as required. 

· Ability and willingness to function quickly and accurately in a stressful, time-constrained trading floor environment. 

· Ability and willingness to carry a Blackberry (e.g., to communicate and verify gas flow 24/7).

· Ability and willingness to maintain proper business perspective across both gas Local District Companies (LDC) and merchant functions and adhere to applicable standards of conduct. 

· Ability and willingness to utilize a laptop in order to work remotely (e.g., inclement weather, emergencies). 

· Must possess a valid driver's license. 

· Must successfully pass the Criminal History Records Check. 

 

Preferred:Experience demonstrating skill using Infinite accounting software and/or instant messenger.
