Under general supervision and with moderate latitude for independent judgment perform general maintenance and repairs and operate building systems in student dormitory apartment building on college campus. Duties include: 

 - Operate, maintain and repair all building systems (i.e., heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, hardware, etc.). 

 - Clean and maintain building and grounds including general maintenance clean-up and special cleaning of floors, ceilings, walls, windows, etc. 

 - Repair and maintain sinks, toilets, faucets, rooters, supply and waste lines; fix stoppages, etc. 

- Respond to all maintenance service calls as reported and assigned; maintain daily log and inspection sheets. 

 - Perform maintenance inspections as assigned. 

 - Remove snow using all types of snow equipment and vehicles. 

 - Perform all other related duties as assigned. 

This is a temporary position.  Starting salary is $21.4908/hour 

  

  

  

Required Skills 


-Must possess and maintain a New York State driver’s license. #6 oil burner license, air pollution license, and/or fire department permits preferred. 

-Physically able to lift, carry heavy items, climb stairs, etc. and perform other physical duties needed to complete assignments. 

Required Experience 


 -High school diploma or equivalent required. 

 -Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance required. At least 3 years’ experience in building system operations or equivalent preferred.
