Utilizing our integrated network of worldwide affiliates, BGS offers secure transport and associated security services in more than 110 countries. We have a challenging opportunity for an Import Customer Service Representative. 

 

The Import Customer Service Representative is responsible for building and maintaining a professional relationship with international and domestic customers. You will be responsible for receiving and processing information and files from Brinks international affiliates relating to import shipments. In addition, you will be responsible for communicating this information to customs brokers and coordinating delivery with Brinks Incorporated, domestic operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 Respond to incoming communications from internal and external customers 

 Respond to requests, resolve issues and escalate issues as needed 

 Provide information and quote prices for all services 

 Communicate, and coordinate all customs clearance and transportation arrangements for commodity/customer moves including routing, delivery, booking, and other transportation logistics 

 Respond to inquiries regarding status of shipments in transit; follow through on trace request as necessary; provide proof of delivery as requested 

 Provide verbal proof of delivery to customers on all international work and all domestic specials 

 Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as may be required to meet business demands. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service 

 Minimum of 1 year of experience in import shipments

 Minimum of 1 year of experience using MS Office and Windows applications 

 High School Diploma or GED 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 Bi/Multi-Lingual 

 Brokers license

 BA Degree

 

Professional Skills: 

 Excellent oral and written communication 

 Professional aptitude, presentation and demeanor 

 Detail-oriented, accurate, organized team player with a positive attitude
