RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all basic husbandry procedures of the aquatic animal collections at the Living Seas; the Land Aquacell, Typhoon Lagoon's Shark Reef and off site areas such as Castaway Cay. Perform water chemistries, disease diagnosis, diet preparation; feeding and cleaning of animal facilities and equipment. Present informal and formal presentations to Walt Disney World Resort guests. Partner with various teams, (Marine Mammal, Guest Programs, Veterinary, Research, Education and Life Support) to facilitate state of the art Guest Service and animal programs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.) * Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Aquaculture, Zoology * Minimum 5 years experience in the field of aquarium husbandry * Knowledge of fish behavior, physiology, general biology, nutritional requirements and reproductive needs * Proven guest/public interaction and presentation skills * Proven strong analytical skills * Be able to work unsupervised and make decisions consistent with the team philosophy * Proven strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to be flexible with work schedule and be willing to work on weekends and holidays * Ability to maintain and troubleshoot aquaria systems * SCUBA CPR and First Aid certified DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Rescue Diver certified * Small boat handling experience * Fish collection experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:To expedite consideration, we highly recommend that you BOTH upload your resume AND copy and paste the text when creating your candidate profile.
