Provides considerable assistance in any of the basic functions at the dam and reservation as follows: Operates electrical, mechanical and motorized equipment, both gas and diesel powered, outboard motorboat, jackhammer, bulldozer, power lawn mower and sprayer, snow plow, etc. Is familiarized with the 0 & M of flood control gate operation and pertinent mechanical and electric controls and devices. Overhauls, repairs, oils and performs preventive maintenance on the above equipment as well as on gate machinery, cables and hoists. Does minor carpentry, painting and machine work. Assists in plumbing and electrical installation and/or repairs. Repairs roads, parking areas, fences and the like. Clears wooded areas, roads, embankments, and shores of fallen trees, floating debris and rubbish. Cleans spillway, trash racks, log boom and area in and around the gate structure. Assists in snagging operations. Regularly cleans the recreational sites.

Working Conditions: Is subject to normal hazards of working around electrical, mechanical and mobile equipment; also from extremes of weather, walking on slippery surfaces and occasional use of the motorboat.
