Greets all patients courteously and registers the patients requiring care as quickly as possible; prepares charts for review of nurses and physician notes, charges and signatures in order that all records are as accurate and complete as possible. Looking for someone who is able to function quickly and appropriately in emergency situations. Acts as a liaison between DEM staff and the patient’s familyfriends. Provides other secretarial services for the Manager, Charge Nurse, and IMC Coordinator as requested. Provides relief for switchboard operator.
High school degree or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Typing skills necessary, communication, and computer skills mandatory. Involves a moderate amount of walking, standing, and some lifting of supplies.
