Job Position Details

Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Office of the President

Location: New York, NY

Company: Yeshiva University

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Assistant to the President of Yeshiva University, the Administrative Assistant will support the Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant in effectively managing all administrative support aspects of the Office of the President. He or she will also be responsible for executing all events sponsored by the President.

Responsibilities: 

Support the Executive Assistant in receiving and initiating internal and external correspondence on behalf of the President with senior administrators, University Trustees, donors, foundations, elected representatives, and key stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff.

Assist with screening of the Presidents mail, email, voicemail and appointments using sound judgment and knowledge

Makes travel arrangements as necessary.

Provide primary office coverage and first point of contact for all visitors to the Office of the President ensuring that visitors are properly acknowledged and announced. 

Work with other members of the Office of the President staff on activities to promote a proactive and responsive service team to respond to the needs of students, faculty, staff, and other administrators. 

Assist with the orientation and support requirements of all office staff including Presidential Fellows.

Support the planning, preparation, and execution of special events and activities hosted by the Office of the President or as required on behalf of the President.

Assume initiative and follow- up on unresolved issues or assigned projects.

Provide support to the Chief of Staff and Director of Institutional Advancement, i.e. calendar and phone management, etc.

Assist the professional staff in managing correspondence, mailings, scheduling appointments, answering and screening phone calls, and special projects as required.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality

Requirements:
 

A bachelors degree and at least 3+ years of administrative experience with at least 2 years working in an executive space are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary. Demonstrated success in working collaboratively and as part of an effective team in meeting the needs of the executive(s) and the organization is a must. We are seeking a highly organized, detail oriented individual with impeccable communication skills, a strong sense of accountability and sound judgment. The ability to maintain confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
