Under direct supervision, receives, sorts, classifies, indexes, and files incoming diagnostic images and other departmental materials. Differentiates between the various radiographic images radiographs and retrieves comparison images for new studies in a detailed manner for reading by radiologists. Obtains radiology reports for referring physicians and patients. Faxes reports and generates CDs or hard copies of radiographic imaging studies. 

 

 

High School diploma or GED equivalency 

 

At least one year of related experience 

 

· Good written and verbal communication skills 

· Knowledge of basic medical terminology 

· Ability to learn more complex terminology in order to disseminate information to others 

· Ability to sort materials, operate standard office equipment and retrieve and file materials according to established alphabetic or numerical filing system 

· Good interpersonal skills.

· Basic analytical skills
