Under supervisory direction, processes patient registration information, communicates hospital financial policies, demonstrates people skills, and works in conjunction with other hospital departments.Educates emergent patients about their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities in accordance with EMTALA guidelines, and collect deposit/co-payments. Job Qualifications: Familiarity with medical terminology , ability to communicate effectively, ability to handle multiple tasks, type a minimum of 40 wpm, knowledge of Managed Care, Medi-Cal, Emtala and HIPAA regulations and ABN compliance. Must be able to work independently.
