SUMMARY: The Inventory Transaction Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of GMCR's off-site inventory to ensure 100% availability of raw materials to meet production schedules. This position requires an analytical individual with exceptional process management skills. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct reports. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Responsible for inventory management at multiple locations and maintaining accurate inventory transactions, including quantities in-transit, in-process and reserved. 
- Coordinates the shipment, tracking and receiving of inbound products as well as editing and verifying replenishment paths. 
- Organizes transfers between multiple warehouses and production facilities. 
- Inputs data into the PeopleSoft (PS) database to create information with integrity that meets the needs of the buying and analysis teams. 
- Plans and implements activities related to the timely and accurate reporting of inventory levels. 
- Provides daily and monthly updates to ensure that production facilities have enough product on-hand for manufacturing runs. 
- Collaborates with Buyers, Planners and various Department Managers to ensure the successful implementation of new product integration. 
- Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex data. 
- Participates in company committees for process improvement or cross-functional interaction. 

OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS: 
* Adept at identifying opportunities for synergy and integration for efficient work flow. 
* Facilitate communication, including documentation management, and participate in the creation and updating of process documentation around off-site inventory and usage in our PeopleSoft database. 
* May provide general guidance/direction to train junior level support personnel. 
* Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department. 
* Performs other duties as requested by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
* Associates Degree in Business, Technology or related experience in the field preferred. 
* Minimum 2 years experience in a procurement or inventory management field preferred. 
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, quality and strong organizational skills. 
* Familiarity with a variety of audit techniques with regards to the maintenance of data integrity. 
* Ability to work across functional groups to determine business needs. 
* Strong problem solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative. 
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines. 
* Strong computer skills -data entry, database management and PeopleSoft would be ideal. 
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 
* Demonstrated ability to use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
* Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions. 
* Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: 
* Must be able to sit/stand at a PC workstation. Heavy keyboarding and visual computer screen work required. 
* Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis. 
* Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
