DHL Same Day is a market leader in the freight forwarding and ground courier industry. Together with our parent company DHL Express, we offer a full line of worldwide logistics and transportation solutions to our valued clients.
DHL Same Day specializes in same day delivery via next flight out NFO and local courier services. There are dispatch opportunities available full-time and part-time in our new Avenel, NJ office to help support all regional transportation activities in the area.
Our Dispatchers:
1. handle all incoming calls and deal directly with our couriers in the field.
2. monitor all packages and shipments for prompt pickup and deliveries
3. insure arrivals and deadlines are met and make adjustments if necessary
4. dispatch local independent contractors for prompt pickup and deliveries.
5. update system with all job related information.
Qualified candidates will have prior experience in on-demand, expedited courier functions. Prior background in NFO operations is highly preferred. To be considered for this position, you must be highly organized, an effective communicator and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Typing at least 30 wpm and the ability to work independently is essential.
