Overview:
This is an internship sponsored by and funded by The Door for a young person enrolled in the Door who is looking for job experience in his/her chosen field
General Description:
Under the supervision of the Teen Central supervising librarian the intern will:
Sort and shelve materials in Teen Central
Read and edge shelves to keep collection in good order
Provide support for teen programs
Create displays of new materials
Do bibliographic searching to compile suggested order lists for Teen Central
Write reviews of teen books for collection development
Assist with inventory of library materials
Assist with special projects related to Teen Central, including developing LGBTQ community connections and programs
Eligibility Requirements:
The internship requires 12.5 hours each week for 12 weeks
Attendance and punctuality on assigned days
Ability to work with people of all ages in a polite and respectful manner
