Provide customer service, material handling and inventory support and shipping support of the international and domestic shipments for Manitowoc CraneCare’s 3PL (third party logistics) warehouse. This position will base in Manitowoc's Jeffersonville, IN warehouse facility. The position will work under minimal supervision with direct report to Director of Logistics.
Essential Job Functions
1. Follow-up on critical orders to ensure commitments are met, and advise internal customers on a daily basis. Expedite internal and external component shortages if required and coordinate parts ordering and priorities with purchasing personnel. 2. Ensure quality of communication between the 2 contact centers and 3PL personnel. 3. Coordinate accurate and timely inventory transactions and locations in Baan system with 3PL personnel. 4. Coordinate timely outsourced services of parts such as painting to ensure quality of the inventory and speed of shipments5. Part disassembly/assembly of component to meet Crane Down requirements6. Prepare return material (RMO) for shipment to suppliers.7. Approve shipping bills for payment. 8. Coordinate with CraneCare Parts Return Specialist and 3PL personnel on Dealer returns.9. Root cause investigation of shipping errors. 10. Identification and Resolution of packing slip/packaging nonconformity. 11. Coordinate Part privatization program with 3PL personnel.12. Periodically provide on-call coverage after hours or on weekends via cell phone. Coordinate workload with warehouse and work in shifts.13. Ensure velocity and quality of the processes and flows through audits on the spot, both in inbound and in outbound.14. Ensure knowledge transfer and training to 3PL personnel as needed (on both systems, and technical expertise on crane parts).15. Assist 3PL personnel in identification of parts through Manitowoc proprietary drawing database, in particular in inbound, and manage inbound exceptions as needed.16. Authorize spends to a certain limit (special services requests).17. Ensure implementation, then execution, of quality technical inspection in inbound in coordination with Manitowoc quality managers.18. Conduct customer (and RAM) facility tours.19. Provide input to Purchasing/Marketing/IS/CraneCare sales regarding sales trends that could impact inventory requirements.
Job Requirements/Working Conditions
This position is located in Jeffersonville, Indiana to support Manitowoc CraneCARE Warehouse.•1-2 years of experience in related field•Associates degree strongly desired•Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software•Extensive planning and problem solving experience•Extensive organizing skills•Remote independence from CraneCare Call Centers without direct supervision and only onsite link with 3PL (3rd Party Logistics)•Extensive Baan experience•Extensive Manitowoc technical drawing/specification experience
