Responsibilities
Owns and assures compliance of all merchandising standards of sales floor and organization of the stockroom according to Paperchase standards.
Responsible for Paperchase seasonal, monthly, weekly, and quick response merchandising changes according to company timelines and visual presentation standards
Work with the Paperchase US team to ensure department planograms and overall merchandisingdirectives are appropriate and accurate
Test new merchandising displays or techniques for Paperchase and non-Paperchase departments inside Borders or Specialty Retail stores
Responsible for ensuring fixture layout, placement, general maintenance and lighting are according to Paperchase guidelines.
Responsible for ensuring Paperchase signage, product pricing, product markdowns, POS collateral and brand promotional materials are compliant with Paperchase guidelines.
Roll up questions and issues to the Paperchase Area Manager.
Proactively maintain a professional relationship with Borders store leadership team that includes collaborating and successfully managing any Paperchase merchandising and inventory issues.
Support an environment within the area where diversity is valued and embraced in all facets of the business
Support and maintain company business standards and compliance to company policy
Maintain confidential business and employee information
Participate in other projects as needed
Participate in Paperchase Training and Certification Program in areas that apply to this positionPaperchase Area Manger will lead this process.
Comply with Paperchase Personal Appearance Policy at all times within the store/shop.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of previous store / department merchandising experience -- multi unit preferred
Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize objectives.
Demonstrated record of strong visual merchandising skills; fashion merchandising experience a plus
A consistent record of meeting sales and operations objectives
Proven ability to influence others, be accountable and achieve results
An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace and the ability to create a spirited work environment that encourages the sharing of ideas
Prior success in a role that demonstrated excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong detail orientation, organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle pressure, work in a fast paced environment and work varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to travel by car or public transportation efficiently between stores / shops.
