Successful candidate will have intermediate experience in IP networking, utilizing Juniper or Cisco hardware, and Video teleconferencing utilizing Cisco and Tandberg hardware. Incumbent must be able to assist Network Operations center with troubleshooting at the tier 2 and 3 levels. Must have understanding of IP routing, to include knowledge of routing protocols; primarily OSPF, EIGRP and BGP. Other protocol experience desired would be SNMP and H.323. Incumbent must have troubleshooting and configuration experience for global enterprise networks, to include QOS, ATM (OC-3, OC-12, etc), t-1, t-3, e-1. Layer 2 technologies experience a plus, specifically Marconi ATM switches and CISCO Ethernet switches. Incumbent should be able to understand and configure switch ports, and VLANS for Cisco, and ELAN's, PVC's, SPVC's on Marconi. Must have worked with encryption devices; specifically, Fastlane, Taclane and KIV-7. Experience with Video Teleconferencing over an IP network is desired. Devices used are Tandberg MCU's and CODEC's, Tandberg Management System (TMS), gateways, gatekeepers. Experience with VOIP utilizing Cisco products is also highly sought after, to include knowledge of dialing plans utilizing Cisco call manager
Requires BS/BA degree.
Requires 4-7 years experience.
