Assists management in building a performance based environmental health and safety management system to assure compliance and meet company EHS expectations. Manages the comprehensive Environmental, Safety and Health process for SIS-VT/NJ. Monitors the identification and control of physical, biological and chemical hazards, and training of employees on safety policies, procedures and regulations. Verifies compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and ensures all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Manages the participation in OSHA and EPA inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying compliance measures. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to health and safety administration team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. 
 
EHS Management System 
Assists management in building an EHS Management System 
* Use Goodrich Audit tools to assess current state of EHS management programs. 
* Identify gaps in program 
* Work with all members of the site to implement corrective actions. 
* Ensures that EHS Management system is integrated within business systems, including quality. 
 
Compliance Assurance 
Develop and implement sustainable EH&S compliance and continuous improvement programs. 
* Remain current on EHS regulations 
* Determine applicability to site 
* Ensure that annual compliance audits are conducted and corrective actions (including revisions to management systems) are completed if required 
* Monitor and maintain site security programs. 
 
Training 
Ensure employees are trained on required topics. 
* Perform training needs assessment and establish internal requirements. 
* Prepare and present relevant training materials. 
* Incident Investigation and Apollo Root Cause Analysis. 
* Complete effectiveness evaluation. 
Facility and Operations Review 
Review facilities and operations to ensure safe processes and equipment. 
* Actively involved with Operations Leaders at the floor level. ID and correct ergonomic and work-related exposures. 
* Coordinate agency inspections, loss prevention reviews, and follow up actions. 
* Participate in project/design reviews. 
Information Management/Cost Management 
* Maintain documentation of materials, processes, equipment, and events used to measure performance, generate regulatory reports, and analyze trends. 
* Responsible for 3 cost centers. Must budget and manage cost centers on a monthly basis. 
 
Strategic Planning 
Support business unit strategic plan development and execution. 
* Establish, track, and achieve goals and objectives. Assist in developing and communicating EHS goals and objectives for the site operations teams. 
* Coordinate with GR Corporate and SIS EHS leadership to ensure alignment to policy deployment initiatives. 
 
Measurement/Reporting 
Track and report performance measures, compile and submit regulatory information. 
* Ensure that information is compiled and submitted in prescribed format on or before due date. 
* Oversee the incident reporting and corrective action process. 
 
Environmental Monitoring 
 Ensure compliance with environmental permit conditions and regulatory requirements. 
* Assists with the identification and characterization of hazardous waste streams. 
? Submits the Biennial Hazardous Waste Report, as required. 
? Ensures a Registered PE reviews, updates and approves the written Integrated Contingency Plan, as required. 
? Provides appropriate training to affected employees. 
? Initiates Pollution Prevention programs and projects to reduce and eliminate hazardous waste generation. 
? Ensures Hazardous Waste Manifests are submitted, tracked and filed, as required. 
* Conduct emissions and exposure monitoring. 
 
Special Projects 
Complete special projects as assigned. 
* Participate in contingency planning for emergencies or unanticipated events. 
* Coordinate the audit process, corrective actions and implementation of EHS Management System per Goodrich requirements. 
* Division, Corporate, and Segment initiatives

Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
