Job Description To oversee all financial analysis activities and direct a staff responsible for business unit decision support activities within Global Central Labs. This includes, but is not limited to the publication and communication of financial results, the coordination and communication of requests for capital, and the semiannual process for unit budgeting and forecasting. The combined annual revenue of the business supported is approximately $500 million. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Directs staff responsible for partnering with business units, support groups, and SG&A departments who are responsible for examining financial performance, investigating opportunities for profit enhancement and recommending actions that promote improved financial results. 

2. Leads efforts associated with the preparation and presentation of semiannual budgets and business plans. Coordinates budget timelines and submissions as well as internal and external meetings to review and discuss forecasts. 

3. Oversees preparation and monitors financial forecasts and budgets based on current and proposed business plans and alerts management to potential concerns and/or opportunities for improvement. 

4. Supports the preparation of strategic forecasts and long-term business plans for key operating groups within Global CCLS. 

5. Coordinates publication and communication of internal management financial information to Senior Management in an efficient and timely manner to facilitate decision-making. 

6. Interacts regularly with key operational and support group leaders to understand business drivers and needs to ensure that staff is focused on key value-add activities for their internal customers.

7. Supports the monthly review of capital expenditures, including coordination of periodic reviews of major projects with staff and project managers, and for post-project analysis of key historic project spending. 

8. Ability to calculate and communicate foreign exchange impact to Senior Management and Corporate

9. Fosters a signature client service focus in the performance of all business unit decision support activities to ensure the adequacy and timeliness of information provided, and to maintain positive relationships with all internal business partners. 

10. Performs other duties and provides assistance to the Director Finance - Global Planning and Analysis, VP Finance and Corporate as needed.

 Education/Qualifications Business degree plus professional certification (CMA, CPA) or Masters degree required
- A minimum of 10 years of relative work experience
- Progressive responsibility in manufacturing
- Experience working for a global organization
- Pharmaceutical industry experience required
- Proven leadership and consensus-building skills needed
- Proven planning and organizational abilities necessary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
