Job Description
Basic Purpose of Job: Performs skilled and complex preventive and emergency tasks. Is responsible for repairs of all devices or systems in the facilities equipment inventory as well as fixed building features such as lights, plumbing fixtures, doors, door hardware, life safety components such smoke detectors, tube transfer system and all equipment listed in the Building Maintenance program.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Two years vocational training or related work experience.
Minimum Work Experience: Five to ten years in a hospital setting or in a commercial building environment.
Required Licenses/Certifications: May require certification in electrical in electrical or plumbing work or specialized certification due to local, state or federal requirements.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical documents as they relate to processes involved in maintenance and construction of buildings.
