ERM seeks a staff level consultant to support Environmental HealthSafety (EHS) projects in their Baton Rouge, LA office. Responsibilities will include:

Auditing facilities/projects for compliance with EHS regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and DOT;

Investigating working-conditions in client facilities, including emissions, ergonomics, process safety analyses, process hazard analyses, etc.;

Inspecting HS performance on construction/remediation projects;

Determining effective engineering control methods and making recommendations on location, design, structure, operations, and maintenance; and

Developing safety programs and evaluating performance related to standards.Requirements: 

BS Degree (MSc preferred) in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental HealthSafety, or related field.

0-3 years of EHS consulting or industry EHS experience, including workplace audits, compliance evaluation, policy development and required reporting.

Knowledge of HS requirements/regulations in a broad range of industries.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience writing detailed technical reports.
