Safety Engineer: Understands and able to practically apply applicable Federal, State and local occupational safety regulations. Perform/participate in safety program audits, accident investigations, and field inspections of site operations, equipment, and materials. The candidate should be able to demonstrate training and/or experience in technical support and overview of safety program compliance for such subjects as elevated work, confined space entry, hazardous material / waste, lifting and handling, scaffold safety, machine guarding, and other industrial safety programs. Prepare/review technical documents (e.g., work processes/procedures, work hazard evaluations, and professional literature), develop and conduct employee training, resolve employee safety concerns, and perform general recordkeeping requirements. Possess a working knowledge of the federal legislative/rulemaking process, the underlying occupational safety regulations, as well as industry consensus standards and practices along with some experience developing customer-focused compliance strategies. 

 Comprehensive knowledge of current OSHA Regulations. Ability to develop, implement and monitor safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, ability to write related policies and procedures, as well as incorporate continuous improvement activities. Strong demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated capabilities in effective negotiations, influencing, advocacy and presentations to all employee and management levels. Strengths in customer service and cooperative teaming. Demonstrated capabilities in providing ESH assistance and guidance in a manufacturing environment, including regular floor support. Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects/tasks, effectively prioritizing tasks, communicating project/task status, and ensuring timely closure of assignments. Ability and interest in learning new areas of expertise including environmental regulations.
