Must: Have sufficient Industry air quality experience to be able to conduct and/or assist in air permitting, participate in or lead negotiations in air quality rulemaking, make determinations about the impact of legislation/regulation on operations and assist with the development of strategies for compliance. Have excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to translate environmental regulatory language into understandable requirements; Be willing to travel to support areas (up to 25%); Have a Science or Engineering degree.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
?Advocate for EHS excellence at Devon;
?Maintain current knowledge of Federal, state, and local air quality regulations for support areas;
?Provide Air Quality technical support and specialized services to Devon’s operating Divisions;
?Ability to work collaboratively or independently;
?Manage emission data for reporting purposes;
?May direct or manage EHS contractors or consultants;
?Develop presentation and training tools for communication with the client;
?Interact with a wide range of personnel from field personnel to executive management
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
?Prioritize projects and meet critical deadlines;
?Performs other related duties as assigned;
?Requires ability to interact with wide range of company personnel; and,
?Collegial and professional attitude, consistent with Devon’s Attributes and Values.
?Knowledge of emission reduction technologies and their application to improve energy efficiency.
?Knowledge of methods for calculating greenhouse gas emissions from sources/equipment common to the oil and gas industry.
?Experience reporting greenhouse gas emission into an emission registry.
?Experience using the HYSYS™ process simulator or equivalent.
?Experience with common emission estimation models such as GlyCalc™ and E&P Tanks™
Details Specific to this Job:
?Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (engineering degree preferred);
?Minimum 2 year (Specialist) or 5 years (Sr. Specialist) professional industry air quality experience (Oil and Gas Industry preferred)
?Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
?Willing to travel on short notice
