Day-to-day expectations: Serve as a member of a CBRN Response Team within the National Capital Region. Expected duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: responding to credible threats involving Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) incidents; operating and maintaining CBRN commercial off the shelf (COTS) detection equipment; able to assist in decontamination operations; participate in training exercises and drills; and perform other duties that may be required to support the mission. 
 
Education/Experience: High school Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience; knowledge of HAZMAT response operations; must possess the Hazardous Materials Technician certification accredited by either the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NBFSPQ) or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC); responder experience at the Federal (including US military), State or local level required; Fire, HAZMAT, EMS and/or Law Enforcement backgrounds preferred; American Heart Associate BLS certification will be required; training experience helpful; successfully pass a medical evaluation; must hold a valid driver's license. 
Due to Federal contract regulations, U.S. citizenship or permanent resident alien status is required. 
Required to possess and maintain a secret clearance.
