Job Title: IDENT Program - College Intern - College

Location: Fairfax, VA

College Intern will participate as a team member within the IT Infrastructure group to provide system administration and hardware integration support for software/hardware development of new capabilities being integrated into a national operational system (IDENT1). Support administration of a multi-user computer development system, including LAN infrastructure within a testbed environment and NGC intranet nodes. Duties will include user PC support, UNIX administration, hardware integration and supporting senior staff with systems integration, testing, and troubleshooting. Candidate will help document and maintain inventories and configurations of system hardware, including servers, workstation, peripherals and network hardware. College Intern Requirements: To be considered for our program, intern candidates must be: - Enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university (with an overall cumlitive GPA of 3.0 or higher). - Working to complete their undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate degree. - Technical Background - Pursuing a field of study that is consistent with Northrop Grumman's needs for an intern assignment: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics Full knowledge of fundamental information technology principles, concepts and techniques, including UNIX and Windows administration as well as a basic understanding of network topologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio. Strong problem solving and communication skills. US Citizenship required.
