GES Exposition Services, a leading tradeshow and event marketing company, is seeking a high-energy, growth-oriented professional with demonstrated leadership abilities, integrity and passion for hassle-free service for the position of ED/ID House Account Executive at our office in Las Vegas, NV.
General Responsibilities:
Function:
The Account Executive develops existing accounts and solicits new ones to grow GES ED/ID business.In addition, AEs work to develop new sales and marketing ideas to further enhance the sales program. This individual promotes and manages the sales and production activities associated with all assigned accounts.
Duties/Responsibilities:Develop new accounts and build rapport with clients (exhibit houses, direct corporate clients, etc.) via letters, e-mails, and telemarketing Contact representatives from hotels, associations, business groups and social organizations to solicit business for ED/ID Seek, meet and entertain prospective clients for sales leads Solicit cold call accounts Prepare and solicit proposals and contracts for management Provide necessary follow-up correspondence Coordinate activities with other sales personnel on all marketing and sales efforts to secure new business Maintain a working knowledge of proper professional sales procedures Promote and manage the production and sales activities related to all managed and prospective accounts Work with GES Account Managers to coordinate with others within GES (or within another GSC) for all phases of pre and post show project management Interact with all GES personnel from job sale to show close to ensure a smooth and efficient operation Maintain good working relationships with all groups essential in providing high level service to your customers Provide professional and consistent ED/ID service to all customers on trade shows Call exhibitors early and often in order to assist them with their needs Maintain high show floor visibility Represent the Company in a professional manner, when and where required. Stay abreast of industry trends and events Travel and work long hours when necessary to ensure show success Have the ability to work with multiple unions
Work with others in the sales department to develop new ideas in order to grow sales on all assigned shows
Education/Experience:
College degree or equivalent level of industry experience preferred 2 years of sales experience 2 years of convention and trade show experience 1-2 years of experience with ID labor teams Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting tight deadlines Computer proficiency
Special Considerations:
Physical Requirements:
Typically requires the ability to sit for long periods of time
Requires normal use of computer hardware
Ability to work well in a sometimes loud or otherwise uncomfortable atmosphere due to show floor inconsistencies
Ability to perform physical duties of ID if the need arises:
Move and transport materials
Stand for long periods of time while supervising a ED/ID project

Working Conditions:
May require frequent travel
Typically performs work in an office setting
Typically performs work on the tradeshow floor, in noisy and crowded areas
Frequently encounters uncomfortable temperatures, dust and/or other conditions
Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere to please the client.
Requires working with union employees
