If so, then the Foster Care Child Counselor position at Youth Villages is a perfect fit for you. Our Child Counselors are organized, team-oriented, and strength-focused! The Child Counselors work with the foster care children to talk about their referral issues, to discuss why they are in foster care. The Child Counselor also serves as a liaison between the child and the court and is always and advocate for the best needs of the child! Our Child Counselors strive to have each child be successful in their current environment!
Counselors work closely with the foster parents developing and implementing behavior management plans as well as interacting with the school when necessary. The position requires counselors to use their own vehicle driving to the foster families' homes and other meetings in the community (mileage is remibursed).
RequirementsA Master's degree in a social services field is required.
You must have your own vehicle to use for work purposes as well as have liability insurance. Counselors are reimbursed for mileage.
