Develops, tests, debugs and maintains dynamic and secure web sites and web-based applications using ASP.NET 2.0, JavaScript, XML, and other cutting edge front-end and middle-tier technologies and standards. Works with technical, design, business, and editorial staff to create rich, usable Internet applications with a content-publishing focus. Researches and shares information on current industry trends, and assists with the development and promotion of coding best practices within the organization.
Required Skills:
Bachelor?s degree and 5+ years experience with responsibility for developing rich, multi-tiered, data-driven web applications. Experience in development and use of web services (SOAP and RESTful) and of web-based syndication formats like Atom, RSS, iTunes extensions. Experience with .NET 2.0 development and deployment tools and methodologies. Proficient in HTML, XHTML, and CSS for positioning. XML skills required, including proficiency with XPath, XSLT, Schema/DTD development, and DOM programming; XSL-FO, XQuery, and XML database experience desirable. JavaScript and AJAX skills are a top priority; JSON and JQuery highly desirable. Experience with Flash/Flex/Actionscript, leading content-management systems, Java/JSP, and Perl strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of SEO techniques, as is background in web analytic and tracking techniques. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and stored procedures. Excellent communication skills, ability to work with teams.
