The Researcher works directly with a team of information and knowledge management analysts to publish research that analyzes key trends, business pains, and technologies impacting how enterprises align people, processes, and information to improve a variety of business metrics. The Researcher works with analysts to produce high-quality and timely research and client advisory. An industry analyst career path awaits the highly successful Researcher at Forrester.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct primary and secondary research for published reports, including developing and executing an interview set of senior-level technology decision-makers, end technology users, and business decision-makers via telephone and online surveys.
* Write research reports and on occasion, present those findings.
* Assist in the development of decision tools such as checklists and maturity models.
* Create graphics for reports and presentations to convey both conceptual analysis and quantitative findings.
* Provide thought leadership for quantitative analyses and statistical techniques.
* Interact with clients to communicate research findings.
* Provide quantitative analysis and use of statistical techniques to analyze data from both Forrester?s Consumer Technographics? and Business Data Services.
Requirements:
* A strong track record of academic achievement; B.A./B.S. degree minimum (master?s degree preferred) with at least three years of work experience in a client-facing role.
* Consulting, project management, or account management skills.
* Experience with statistical software packages (SPSS, SAS, Quanvert, or similar). Alternatively, experience with computer programming may be substituted for direct experience with statistical software packages.
* Strong quantitative aptitude and intellectual creativity.
* Superior writing, verbal, presentation, and computer skills.
* Previous experience with survey design a plus.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Proficient in touch-typing.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Self-motivated.
