Responsible for the successful overall direction, administration and coordination of all activities for the Bell Desk, in accordance with the Mission and Objective of Stratosphere as well as established policies, proceduresand controls. Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff, ensuring proper staffing levels to maintain operational efficiencies. Ensures Employees are mentored, developed and are given the resource and tools for achieving their job responsibilities. Manages and coordinates the operation of the bell desk to ensure efficiency and that the best possible service is provided to guests; make necessary adjustments to ensure proper facilitation of guests needs. Works closely and assists when needed with other Hotel Operations Departments. Ensures that all Bell Desk personnel are properly trained in their duties, along with a strong emphasis on communicating the importance of courteous and prompt service to our guests. Establishes and maintains effective controls to ensure adherence to department procedures; directs the investigation and correction of shortages and errors; recommends changes in procedures, equipment and physical layout to ensure maximum service, efficiency and security of company funds. Establishes and maintains high results with guest service ratings. Preparation and responsible for the annual departmental budget and operating forecasts. Investigates and resolves customer complaints, lost and misplaced luggage and comments; ensures involved Employees are held accountable to produce proper guest service results in accordance with Stratosphere guest service procedures. Ensures they are visible and available to Employees and guests alike. Must be knowledgeable of the Culinary Contract and Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or 2 year college degree preferred. 3-5 years Hotel Management experience. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
