Set up and teach/certify individuals who require NDE certification in accordance with ASNT requirements. Maintain database to house certification information and time requirements to meet ASNT requirements. Update Training Program to comply with latest ASNT requirements as needed. Perform source inspections for verification of NASA requirements at contractor facilities. Update and maintain NDE/Inspection Procedures ensuring compliance with SNT-TC-1A, B31.3 and applicable ASME Codes.


 Education, Training & Experience

Must have a minimum of two (2) years college or vocational training (B.S. preferred) in Industrial Technology or related field, plus a minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of fourteen (14) years. Experience must include all NDE disciplines. 

Must be knowledgeable of and have the capability to perform and teach the following NDE disciplines: UT, UT Shear wave, PT, RT, MT and VT. Must have a current Radiation Safety Workers Certification. Must have current ASNT Level III certifications in the previously listed NDE disciplines. Must have, or be working on, AWS Certified Weld Inspector certification. Must have excellent communication, documentation skills and strong organizational skills. Requires the ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in resolving non-routine problems. May make authoritative decisions in limited circumstances.

Travel between various facilities/test operations is required and may bring exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment operation (50%).

Must be able to gain access to work areas by use of stairs and ladders as well as climb scaffolding. Should not have concerns over working at heights.
