JOB DESCRIPTION:51091 HELP DESK COORDINATOR: UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION, IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING TIMELY PROCESS THROUGH WHICH PROBLEMS ARE CONTROLLED. INCLUDES PROBLEM RECOGNITION, RESEARCH, ISOLATION, RESOLUTION, AND FOLLOW-UP STEPS. REQUIRES EXPERIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING OF MIS ENVIRONMENT. IS ABLE TO RESOLVE LESS COMPLEX PROBLEMS IMMEDIATELY, WHILE MORE COMPLEX PROBLEMS ARE ESCALATED FOR RESOLUTION. TYPICALLY INVOLVES USE OF PROBLEM MANAGEMENT DATABASE AND HELP DESK SYSTEM. ESCALATES MORE COMPLEX PROBLEMS TO SENIOR LEVEL. MAY PROVIDE GUIDANCE/ TRAINING FOR LESS EXPERIENCE PERSONNEL.
JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:51091 HELP DESK COORDINATOR: ABILITY TO RESPOND TO AND RESOLVE CUSTOMER INQUIRIES. ABILITY TO MAINTAIN LOG OF CUSTOMER INQUIRIES AND CONCERNS. ABILITY TO FOLLOW PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES TO RESPOND TO AND/OR RESEARCH CUSTOMER QUESTIONS.
POSITION PREREQUISITES:WORK IN A DYNAMIC TECHNICAL HELP DESK ENVIRONMENT SUPPORTING CLIENTS WORLDWIDE VIA INBOUND "800" TELEPHONE SUPPORT.TEAM PROVIDES TECHNICAL RESOLUTIONS FOR ALL APPLICATIONS INCLUDING PC HARDWARE, SOFTWARE AND OPERATING SYSTEMS. TEAM SUPPORTS VARIOUS APPLICATIONS WHICH ARE USED TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR VEHICLES. TEAM MEMBERS SUPPORT A CLIENT SERVER ENVIRONMENT, RESOLVING NETWORK, WIRELESS AND FIREWALL ISSUES, DIAGNOSE VARIOUS PROBLEMS AND COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER SUPPORT TEAMS. CAREER PATH: PARTICIPATE IN A WORK PROGRAM TAILORED TOWARDS A TECHNICAL CAREER INTO NETWORKING ADMINISTRATION, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OR OTHER TECHNICAL AREAS.
