Reviews applications and makes decisions regarding creditworthiness for the issuing of credit cards and/or non-card, unsecured lines of credit. Uses systematic tools for more accurate decisions and to determine credit line within approval authority limits. Inputs decisions into the system. Requires in-depth knowledge of credit card and/or non-card, unsecured lines of credit underwriting criteria. Normally has more than 2 years of experience.
The Senior Credit Analyst reports directly to a Section Manager in Existing Customer Credit. Responsibilities include reviewing instant and Internet credit line increase requests and rendering a high quality decision in a fast paced environment. This is accomplished by evaluating information from the Customer, credit bureau report and potentially personal tax returns as well as financial statements. Additional responsibilities include answering a variety of inward risk inquiries as well as making outward risk detection calls. The Senior Credit Analyst must maintain strong job knowledge, work type flexibility, and be able to balance loan quality with revenue generation opportunities for the company.
Required Skills: "Must" have these skills to be minimally qualified.
Minimum of 12 months of Customer contact experience Excellent working knowledge of Federal and State regulations Demonstrated knowledge of BAC lending philosophy Knowledge of credit reports and bureaus Strong analytical/problem solving skills Self-motivated and results oriented
Desired Skills:
Previous lending experience/Lending Authority Four year college degree
