Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced I&E Technician for its Piedmont, SC facility.

5-7 yrs minimum maintenance experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment. 

High school diploma minumum; 2 Year Associate Degree in Instrumentation discipline w/apprenticeship training, or Military experience related to Instrumentation, a plus. 

Ability to trouble-shoot and repair a variety of pneumatic & electronic instrumentation using appropriate tools and test equipment. 

Strong profiency in DCS/PLC systems. 

Knowledgeable in the use of SMART instrumentation. 

Proficient with devices used to measure/control flow, temperature, level and pressure. 

Troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution, controls, and lighting systems up to 480V. 

Interpret drawings, schematics and loop sheets. 

Ability to work in an industrial environment, which includes lifting, climbing, etc. The job requires the wearing of Nomex uniforms, and other Personal Protective Equipment. 

Ability to respond to call-outs, & flexibility to work overtime and extended hours during week days, weekends, & holidays. 

Ability to work individually or in a Team Environement. 

Familiar with Windows-based PC & Office Applications.
