Requirements*Strive to keep Pamida #1 in customer service. Actively greet all customers in a friendly, courteous manner. Assist customers in finding merchandise and respond to customer needs. Perform customer and community relations. Answer questions regarding merchandise and store policies. *Develop a positive, high-energy team environment to achieve success. Hire, train, and develop staff. Supervise staff and follow up on completion of work assignments for proper performance. Communicate with team members through store meetings and daily huddles. Provide in-store training by instructing and coaching new and existing staff. Motivate team members through fair and consistent leadership. *Plan and execute the merchandising of the sales floor. Oversee store operations according to company policies and procedures. Oversee financial record keeping and office administration. *Ensure profitability of store by analyzing financial statements and periodic reports and acting on results. *High school diploma or equivalent plus three years of previous retail and supervisory experience. *The typical work schedule of approximately 45 hours per week, will include some day, night and weekend hours as well as holidays. *Knowledge of merchandising, operations and general management principles. *Skills in communicating orally and in writing with customers, employees, community representatives and home office employees. *Possess the ability to thoroughly analyze a problem or situation and to make a decision based on that analysis. *Physical abilities include: to walk and stand for the duration of a shift and the ability to lift and carry merchandise throughout the day. *Relocation may be required.
