While some direct phone support and contact and in office sales are necessary, Accupoint desires an individual who is willing to go out and grow the market.Company Overview Accupoint Inc. is in an exciting field of business with dynamic growth potentials. Since 1986 Accupoint Inc. has been unique among construction/survey supply companies in that it provides equipment for survey, mapping and machine control GPS. Given that Alaska is relatively a protected market; the Company has come to be known as the premier source for all types of survey and construction/supply equipment. Additionally, the Company has been developing relationships with the manufacturers of other related products including Irrdium satellite phones, Garmin and Lowrance GPS products, among others. Accupoint’s customer base is served by between 15 and 20 employees. Our company philosophy is based on exceeding the expectations of our customers, and developing long term relationships with our customers, staff, and the companies we represent and partner with.Primary Duties *Conduct sales calls, schedules promotional work and track sales activities on large complex accounts or new territories. *Utilize mapping and GIS products, ESRI ArcPad, and related peripheral products so customer’s expectations are exceeded and realize an immediate return on their investment. *At times be willing to assist Accupoint with any of it’s day to day operations. *Quotes prices, prepares proposals and provides information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates. *Develop new business within assigned region or industry. *Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services; and of the applicable Specialty Markets. *Identify key decision-makers and their decision-making process for each targeted prospect. *Attend meetings, and participate in the periodic monthly evaluation of production and goals with management. *Maintain a professional company image during all interactions and trainings. *Some business travel is required. *Participate in field related professional associations and trade shows. *Learn new software and hardware advances through live and online factory trainings as well as be self-motivated to do appropriate research, reading, and hands-on exercises to keep up to date.Characteristics/Skills *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Excellent project coordination and planning skills *Good computer skills, including a working knowledge of: Microsoft Office, Internet browsers and online software. *Ability to create and deliver effective presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, or equivalent software. *Understanding of complex selling situations and negotiations; as well as consultative & strategic selling techniques. *Ability to create and maintain sales forecasts, and report on sales progress. *Ability to assist/conduct sales training in support of ongoing acquisitions. *Client-focused, responsive, professional and sales-driven.Education/Experience *Degree in Marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education. *Successful consultative selling of value-added and technical solutions *Demonstrated success in growing sales revenue and client base in a region or market segment.Highly Desirable *Formal sales training with the emphasis or forecasting, business plan development, and closing.Please email resume to: jobs@accupoint.com or fax to (907) 522-1640
