SHIFT: Wed (7pm-9am) & Thurs-Fri (7pm-8am)
Travel: Min-5% / Max-10%

• Provide first level technical support during problem determination and resolution.
• Interfaces directly with customer to provide operational support during testing or a disaster.
• Review test plan documents and set up required system resources prior to start of subscriber's test.
• Review subscriber's prior test history to anticipate issues and prevent recurrence of previous problems.
• Create and maintain written status reports during subscriber testing activities.
• Conduct pre-testing and Testing Services activities as required.
• Assist with equipment installation/relocation.
• Participate in subscriber conference calls and workshops
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
 

 Requirements:• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
• Min 1 years operational experience in a midrange computing environment 
• Experience in at least one of the following platforms: SUN, HP, RS/6000, AS400, SP2, Digital (Alpha and Vax) 
• Min 1 year experience in a role involving direct customer contact (internal and external customers)
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds as needed for test set up.
• Previous experience in DR a plus.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP a plus
• Working knowledge of Integrity / Itanium based servers is a plus.
• Knowledge of HP-UX backup methodology's; IGNITE-UX, Dataprotector is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of tape library operations and setup (IBM 3494, IBM 3584, Storagetek etc...) is a plus.
• Exposure to EMC, IBM Shark, Hitachi Storage and SAN topology's is a plus.
• Must be able to work shift weekend and/or rotational work as needed.
• Must be self-motivated, team player, and able to immediately contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive environment.
• Must be able to learn quickly in a highly technical fast paced environment. Proficiency in Windows based applications, WORD, EXCEL, VISIO.
